Childcare Center Food Specialist

Here at New Creations, we are currently hiring for a Food Specialist at 5 of our locations!

Brooklyn Park, Burnsville, Apple valley , Maple Grove, and Blaine

Job tasks;

• Prepares daily meals and snacks for children Infants to 10 years old using approved, branded menus while maintaining allergy requirements.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, foods, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health codes and industry standards.
• (As needed) Orders snack menu items, manage, order/stock and equipment (perishables, food/dairy), paper products, and cleaning supplies, including storage and rotation, and operate commercial appliances.
• Organizes and assists with general food operations including cleanup, dishwashing, and stocking.
• Participates in staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications;

- Able to meet all requirements of the Child Care Food Program standards

- Is reliable and consistent

- High school diploma or equivalent

-At least 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.

-Experience cooking for schools or Childcare Centers is preferred, but not required.

-Valid Minnesota Food Sanitation Certificate preferred, but will be provided upon employment.

-Ability to follow oral and written instructions

-Must pass DHS background check

-Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
