Description: The Keene Family YMCA is seeking a Teacher's Assistant to work in their busy childcare center. In this role you will provide?quality?experiences to children and parents that focus on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring, while creating a safe, enjoyable, culturally aware, and positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures with advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Essential Functions of the Childcare Assistant Teacher Assists with implementing?curriculum within the established guidelines. Assists with supervising?the children, classroom, and all activities.?
Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child. Maintains program site and equipment. Assists with maintaining?required program records.
Attends and?participates?in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training?(18 hours per year)? At least 16?years of age??
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of??hire date.??(The YMCA will provide these required trainings free of charge.) Health form completed within the 30 days of hire date, renewed every 3 years.?? A desire to work?with children in a?developmental setting.?? Ability to implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate?program activities as directed by classroom teachers and director.?
