To qualify, you must have:
- BA degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in Child Life.
- Completion of 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
- General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional Child Life principles, and experienced‑based knowledge.
- Well-developed writing skills, and excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.
- Child Life Certification is required within one year of hire
