- Pay: $65,000 - 70,000 annualized salary; exempt + benefits
- Location: Hybrid with at least 3 days onsite in the Lower East Side per week
Program Overview:
The Health and Wellness Cluster is a $10M division which provides a wide array of personalized behavioral health services to individuals coping with the challenges brought on by emotional problems and mental illness. A New York State certified Article 31 mental health facility, this division delivers outpatient mental health services,PROS, crisis services, HIV family mental health services, vocational rehabilitation, parent education, supportive employment, case management, screenings for entitlement benefits, health care navigator program and Senior Services. Services are provided by culturally competent staff who can communicate to our clients who need to communicate in Chinese and Spanish as well as English. These programs are designed to help individuals attain their fullest potential in an environment that values respect, dignity, caring and integrity.
Job Summary:
As a child and Family Therapist in our clinic, you will provide clinical services to individuals, groups, and families. Priority will be given to seeing children, adolescents and families and providing consultation and joined sessions with other clinicians if family work is needed. The ideal candidate has either completed additional training in family systems or is studying them. You will be asked to work in an interdisciplinary team to assist individuals and families to achieve their personal highest potential and live full-filling lives. Intake work and documentation compliance are required tasks. We are a community mental health clinic with the mission to be accessible to the Lower East Side community.
Qualifications:
- LMSW, LMHC or LCSW or LMFT, required
- 2 years’ post-masters experience preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records a plus
- Experience utilizing Evidence-Based treatment modalities in Behavioral Health
- Family therapy background a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish or Chinese a plus
Responsibilities:
- See children/ adolescents and their collaterals for
- Provide individual, group and family
- Consult and facilitate family sessions with your co-workers.
- Maintain all paperwork according to State
- Collaborative documentation with clients in session (e., patient participation in treatment plan)
- Participate in Mandatory staff meetings
- Work at least one afternoon shift, preferably 2 shifts (12pm-7pm per week)
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Essential Physical Job Functions:
- Ability to walk on sidewalks, up and down stairs, and throughout clinic consistently throughout each day
- Ability to carry folders, a tablet, a notebook, and cell phone (up to 20 pounds) for several hours per day
