*Must be a level 2 or 3 Childcare Administrator in the state of North Carolina in order to apply*
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures center compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as our centers policies and procedures.
- Supports and assists teachers daily.
- Ensures that sanitation and licensing standards are being met in all classrooms. Regularly performs sanitation and licensing observations and provides feedback to teachers.
- Provides licensing and sanitation training for new staff.
- Ensures that center activities and events are executed and actively participates: for example, manages the planning for fall festival, spring festival, winter celebrations, open houses etc.
- Develops and maintains professional working relationships with all staff.
- Anticipates staffing needs, prepares and posts weekly staffing schedule, and modifies it accordingly depending upon daily attendance in each classroom, communicating all changes.
- Provides input to staff evaluations on an annual basis, as well as regular staff feedback and coaching.
- Ensures that quality control programs are sound and meet all state and our centers requirements.
- Responsible for preparing tour and enrollment packets.
- Reviews daily reports every day to ensure that all required data are being input properly
- Develops and actively maintains positive communication with parents and staff. Creates and distributes weekly staff memo.
- Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates course of action and responds professionally to needs of parents.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have four-year degree in Early Childhood Education or area of Child Development with two years’ experience as a director or assistant director in a Child Care school. Must either have a Level II or III Administrator’s Credential or be willing to gain it. (Refer to local regulations for additional qualifications.)
