Goshen Therapeutic Services, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is a community-based social service organization that provides services for children, adults, and families involved with DFCS as well as in the community. We are currently seeking a full time, Fully Licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist with a focus and passion for working with children ages 3 and above. This candidate should have some experience working with children and knowledge in Child Development. Some training in play therapy and utilizing play therapy techniques is preferred. Newly created Play therapy space available for use with clients. Goshen will support therapist in obtaining play therapy supervision and RPT credential if preferred.

Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000

Client Service Expectation: approx. 20 sessions per week

Mileage: .55 cents/mile

The Therapist will be expected to:

• Work in partnership with DFCS Case Managers to help individuals and families achieve their full potential.
• Provide direct clinical treatment/therapeutic counseling as appropriate to children, adolescents, and parents or guardians
• Develop treatment plans, implement interventions, review outcomes, revisit/revise strategies, and employ other methods compatible with agency principles and practices
• Engage client, supports, caregivers and other key participants in active, change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement
• Collaborate with all relevant internal/external systems/participants to ensure buy-in and cooperation, and to maximize effectiveness throughout treatment
• Link consumers to additional resources as appropriate, including schools, DFCS, medical support, etc.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts which promote peer and supervisory review and feedback (electronic health record)
• Participate in agency staff, supervision, and external professional development opportunities to extend knowledge and remain current on best practices
• Attend court hearings or case panels to testify as requested by attorneys and DFCS
• Track units of service and dates of service as outlined by the Authorization provided by Amerigroup.
• Document all services in Electronic Health records.
• Attend meetings, as required, for training, to receive updates regarding policies and procedures, and to staff cases.

Fully Licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist need to have:

• Master’s degree in community counseling or related field. (Social Work, Community Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy).
• Must hold a full license with Georgia’s Secretary of State: LPC, LCSW, LMFT
• Must be eligible to be credentialed with Medicaid and CMO’s. Must demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills to provide assessment and clinical services.
• Must practice by the ethical standards of the professional association and state licensing board.
• Complete and pass a criminal background check (DHS OIG) and other safety screenings and drug screen.
• Must submit a valid and official transcript showing proof of degree awarded.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record and proof of insurance.
