The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing direct care to the Seminole Tribe of Florida Children, Adolescents and Adult populations. The individual evaluates, diagnoses, treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The individual conducts thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, provides preventative care, prescribes the appropriate type of medications and/or treatment, and evaluate treatment results.
Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychiatry (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited medical school is required. Possession of an active, current Board certified license to practice Psychiatry in the State of Florida is required. Prior experience performing Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) techniques and working in primary care field or setting is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with adults and/or children and their families providing psychiatric services is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel across reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
