About the role
Serves as a strategic leader and oversees the development, implementation, and management of all technological aspects for the Banks. Responsibilities include leading the technological vision, strategies, and execution. The CTO collaborates closely with cross-functional team leadership at Banks, and Performance Bankers, Inc (PBI), as well as marketing and operations, to proactively align technology initiatives with business goals.
Position is located in Sioux Falls, SD, and is not a remote position. Position will require occasional travel.
What you will do
- Leads and manages Performance Data Center (PDC) by providing guidance, mentorship, and resources to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Fosters a culture of curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive technology strategy and operational plan that is aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with PBI executives and Bank Leadership to understand business needs and ensure technology solutions and organizational structure align with those needs.
- Leads teams of internal and external resources to meet IT Service Management requirements.
- Stays abreast of emerging technologies, assesses relevance to business and recommends solutions to enhance the institution’s technical information posture and capabilities
- Sets direction for application, data, infrastructure, and other technical architecture ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Evaluates, recommends, and adopts suitable technologies that streamline operational efficiencies and enhance performance.
- Collaborates with cross-function teams to drive the development of technology products aligned with business goals. Oversees technical product lifecycle components, from concept to launch.
- Responsible for ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of the organizational environment.
- Ensures appropriate risk management practices and controls are effective across the organizations.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances strategic partnerships with technology vendors. Assists business units with performance of vendor evaluations and ongoing relationship management.
- Creates and manages PDC budget, allocating resources to optimally support the Banks while maintaining financial discipline.
- Represents the organization in industry and peer groups.
- Defines KPI and KRI measurements for the PDC organization; manages and reports on performance against expectations.
- Oversees regulatory and audit management functions relative to PDC, including Bank Regulators and External Auditors.
- Ensure delivery of contractually required services to the Banking organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
- Minimum: BA/BS and 10+ years of CTO and/or banking operations experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Senior level bank leadership experience required.
- Possess solid foundation in technology, with a deep understanding of software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and emerging technology trends.
