About the Position: This position is located in the Army Futures Command Headquarters office. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, AFC has more than 17,000 personnel worldwide. It is the newest of the Army's four major commands, established in 2018 to ensure the Army and its Soldiers remain at the forefront of technological innovation and warfighting ability.
Job Duties/Responsibilities- Facilitate proper staff functions and determines correctness and applicability of proposed staff actions.
- Provide day to day supervision of the G3/5/7 Support Cell staff and Army Futures Command (AFC) Liaison Officers (LNO) and LNOs assigned to AFC from other Organizations.
- Supervise a staff of seven to take necessary corrective steps or to make modifications to proposals to ensure compliance with command and directorate policies or to provide improved results.
- Represent the G-3/5/7 senior leadership on operations, logistics, and resources issues at forums as directed by the Deputy Director G3/5/7.
