Job Summary
The Chief Strategy Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's strategic initiatives to drive growth and success in the life/health insurance and Medicare product fields. As a key member of the executive team, the CSO will collaborate closely with other leaders to develop, communicate, and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and objectives. A Life and Health insurance license is required for this position and experience in the Medicare Advantage field is preferred.
Job Description

  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, alliances and investment opportunities including purchasing books of business.
  • Drive business development activities to expand the company's market presence.
  • Lead high level marketing strategies.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies that could impact the insurance industry for both company and agents.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of existing business initiatives against strategic plan goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
  • Ensure clear communication of the company's strategic objectives to all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure seamless integration of strategic plans across departments.
  • Work closely with finance teams to develop financial models and projections related to strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of plans with budgetary constraints.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers.
  • Drive organizational change necessary for the implementation of initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and impact.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence to understand and navigate organizational and interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively in strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in a strategic leadership role, preferably in the insurance industry; experience in the over 65/Medicare Advantage market preferre
  • Advanced degree in business, strategy, or related field.
  • Experience in Broker or Provider service, managing key accounts preferred.
  • Life and Health insurance license is required

Physical job requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours in an office environment. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Involves frequent telephone contact with agents and employees. Interaction with others is constant and may be interruptive or involve dealing with angry or upset people.
The employee may occasionally lift files, paper, or office equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/30 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and the ability to optimally communicate is required.
