WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Chief Science/Medical Officer at ProCaps Laboratories, you will lead our product development and research initiatives, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of product quality, safety, and efficacy. You will be responsible for spearheading research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge scientific strategies in alignment with our mission. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in conducting consumer market research to align scientific insights with consumer demands.
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the scientific vision and strategy for the company's product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to align scientific objectives with overall business goals.
  • Ensure Executive Leadership and stakeholders are updated and aware of research findings and product development efforts.
• Research and Development:
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers, formulators, and product developers.
  • Direct and oversee research projects, ensuring the timely and successful development of new products.
  • Lead competing consumer product research for scientific insights and consumer demand.
• Scientific Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements in nutraceuticals.
  • Drive innovation through the exploration and integration of novel ingredients, formulations, and delivery systems.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed regulatory standards for safety, efficacy, and quality.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs to navigate and comply with global regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to integrate scientific insights into product positioning and messaging.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages knowledge-sharing and cross-functional teamwork.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (Nutritional Science, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, etc.).
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the nutraceutical or related industry.
• Strong track record of successfully leading and managing research and product development teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for various audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
