Reporting To: President & CEO, LUMIN Schools

Status: Exempt, Full-Time (12-months with flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends)

LUMIN Mission: To provide safe, Christian education that emphasizes academic success, leadership development, and spiritual growth.

As a pivotal leader within LUMIN Schools, the Chief Schools Officer (CSO) spearheads our mission to deliver top-tier Christian education. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this role demands a dynamic leader capable of orchestrating the educational vision and strategy across all campuses. The CSO ensures the highest standards of academic excellence and spiritual enrichment, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among educators, students, families, and the broader community. By mentoring principals and educational staff, the CSO enhances leadership qualities and cultivates an environment where every child is equipped for lifelong learning, faith, and service.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced, varied settings from classrooms to offices.

  • Engagements with diverse groups, including community and community leaders.

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, depending on work tasks.

  • Work will be performed in a school environment with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Christian Educational Leadership: Provide intensive coaching and feedback for instructional leaders. Oversee curriculum development and instructional models, ensuring Christ-centered values are at the core. Support and evaluate school leadership teams and culture.

  • Strategic Vision: Contribute to organizational strategy, aiming for unparalleled educational quality. Lead the academic direction with clear, measurable objectives.

  • Community and Culture: Promote a vibrant Christian network culture. Foster open communication and community involvement, setting high standards for respect and support for learning.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage overall performance, supervising principals and academic staff. Ensure alignment across schools and continuous development to meet strategic goals. Oversee partnerships, accreditation, and personnel growth opportunities.
