Job Description

Who We Are:

RoMan was founded in 1980 as a family-owned company with a singular commitment to manufacture water-cooled, high current, low-voltage power sources. Four decades later, we continue to deliver innovative and high quality products our customers rely on to confidently satisfy their manufacturing needs. As we progress into 2023 and beyond, we are excited about the extensive growth opportunities within our industry segment. We know that our strong commitment to people is what sets us apart along with our strong values:

  • TRUST: Trusting others if I am to be trusted
  • INTEGRITY: Doing the right thing, even if no one is looking
  • QUALITY: Caring about the results of my work
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Enhancing my work every day

Who You Are:

We are seeking a talented HR leader that will be a culture champion to strategically lead and manage RoMan's human resources functions. Due to our exciting growth, this newly-created Chief People Officer role on our executive leadership team will report directly to the President and will provide executive-level leadership and guidance to the human resources operations. This is an on-site role that will offer a unique blend of both transformational and transactional work in all areas. It's perfect for the HR strategist who is passionate about people and culture, loves to roam the plant floor, roll up their sleeves, and know the team personally.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you will be able to jump in and make an immediate impact. Specifically, you will:

  • First and foremost, resonate with our mission, vision and values as an organization and foster a culture of accountability within our workforce that reflects these values

  • Bring vision, business acumen, strategic thought leadership and pragmatism to the role to develop and execute organizational strategies, as well as the tactical skills necessary for the implementation of HR initiatives by acting as a trusted advisor to the executive team, a coach to lead the human resources team, and a collaborator to leaders across the organization to support their needs
  • Provide leadership, development, and overall management of all HR activities and staff including compensation, payroll, benefits, talent development, training, performance management, talent acquisition, employee health and safety, employee events and communications.
  • Partner with leaders at all levels to drive the learning and development, succession planning, career development and performance management process that helps staff develop in their careers and engages all managers in assessing gaps and developing key talent
  • Bring contemporary approaches to finding and keeping talent beyond the traditional HR approach that includes new skills and strategies to navigate dynamic markets and challenging talent landscapes and also identifies opportunities to identify great talent within the organization
  • Act as a catalyst and motivator for the continued development of a strong, open, community-centric culture by establishing strategy, policies, procedures, and practices for an effective HR function while advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Be a strong communicator and culture advocate by managing the corporate communications, employee communications, and community relations
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues by taking time to get to know our employees on a personal level
  • Continually evaluate policies and programs to remain competitive within the industry including compensation, benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, external education, and career development to ensure applicants and employees of all backgrounds are welcomed, celebrated and can thrive

What You'll Get:

Besides working with a great team in a stable and fast-growing firm, you'll receive a competitive base salary, and

  • 100% company paid medical and dental insurance
  • Company HSA contributions
  • Company paid Life and AD&D insurance
