Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role: The Chief of Staff role is a member of the Growth Markets team within the Enterprise & Merchant Platforms (EMP) organization. The team is responsible for maturing the Growth Markets team operating model, leading key initiatives, overseeing timely high-quality product delivery, partnering with corporate strategy to advance the long-term outlook, and driving healthy collaboration with the other CEO Staff organizations. Top objectives include (1) ensuring the best-in-class PayPal Checkout experience is in place and is delivered to 80%+ of our merchants and (2) continuing to grow the Enterprise PSP business with a rapidly expanding profit margin. The team relies heavily on supporting the delivery of these objectives. Meet our team: The team works closely with various internal stakeholders, including other Product domain leads, Sales, Customer Support, and Engineering. We help these constituents understand the Growth Markets team priorities and lead key cross-functional workstreams. Additionally, the team develops new operational routines, standards, and strategies to facilitate overall business growth and benefit customers. Lastly, the team supports critical external engagements with key clients and vendors.

The Chief of Staff role is a highly visible leadership position in the team that works closely with the General Manager of Growth Markets. The day-to-day work includes facilitating leadership forums, developing strategy execution plans, refining organizational routines, overseeing critical initiatives, and authoring leadership communications. Most importantly, the role contributes to problem-solving the business’s most vital issues and opportunities. The role is an individual contributor and will have to lead and influence countless employees throughout the organization.
Your day-to-day:
In your day-to-day you will:
- Act as a thought partner for the team’s General Manager and the product leadership team
- Collaborating closely with Finance, Corporate Strategy , and other key cross-functional leaders to optimize economic performance and strategy
- Support the organization's overall financial budget (expense, FTE, etc.)
- Facilitate and manage agendas at town halls, staff meetings, and product performance-tracking forums
- Mature and standardize the way the organization communicates across PayPal
- Comply with and positively influence standards set by CEO Staff
- Identify and execute organizational efficiency opportunities
What do you need to bring:
- 6-8+ years of experience in a product strategy, strategy consulting, or similar role
- Superb writing, meeting facilitation, PowerPoint, and overall communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate with senior executives in large strategic forums
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with deep experience in building business cases
- Experience selling, supporting, and implementing E-commerce payment services, including front-end deliverables and relevant back-office reconciliation processes. Experience across multiple merchant verticals a plus (travel, subscription, digital goods and services, SAAS, etc.)
- Significant people and organizational management skills. A natural leader and mentor.
- Ability to travel 1-2x per quarter

Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $99300 to $216040
