Chief Legal Officer

Duties

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the executive team and board of directors
• Oversee all legal matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Manage and lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals
• Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and protect the organization's interests
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant laws and industry trends
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation
• Collaborate with external counsel as needed

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
• Proven experience as a Chief Legal Officer or similar role in a corporate setting
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, employment law, and intellectual property law
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice to senior leadership
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of attorneys and legal professionals
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of success in managing legal risks and ensuring compliance

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
