TRINITY HEALTH POSITION DESCRIPTION CHRO, HR BP
POSITION PURPOSE
Serves in a leadership role providing strategic direction, vision, and guidance in the integration of the Human Resource strategies, operations and services in order to advance and align strategy and structure with talent to achieve organizational goals. Serves as a member of the HR structure in achieving implementation of an HR service delivery model which is responsive to and supportive of organization and business needs, goals and objectives, while embracing the mission and core values of Trinity Health. Serves executives and executive teams at a ministry, regional, system and national level depending on assignment. Leads and coordinates as a member of the Human Resource ministry team, which includes client support for the ministries and business functions in that HR region. Partners with regional (field) based Center of Expertise (COE) services - Talent Acquisition, Organizational Effectiveness and Colleague Labor Relations and Safety and Total Rewards. Serves as close intermediary to Regional CHRO - Human Resource Ministry Service Area (HRMSA) leader with responsibility for leading and executing ministry, regional, national or system level initiatives, strategy and projects as directed. Assumes a partnership relationship with System leaders, Regional Ministry leaders, and System HR Center of Expertise (COE) leaders - Talent Acquisition, Organization Effectiveness, Workforce Planning and HR Adminstration, Diversity & Inclusion, Total Rewards and Colleague and Labor Relations respectfully recognizing individual business needs and drivers, and organization capabilities while aligning and advancing Human Resource strategy, operation and services the assigned region (field) structure.
Scope Dimension: Responsible for a large (>$800M) or mid-size (<$800M) Ministry Organization or Ministry Group which includes providing strategic support to ministry executive leadership teams, and with accountability for multiple functional areas/services (advantage, strategic and essential) or for oversight of ministry executive teams across an assigned service area/system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess thorough knowledge and demonstrated expertise Human Resources, change management, process improvement as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field and a minimum of seven (7) or more years' progressively responsible experience in Human Resource Management. Advanced degree (MBA or MA) in Human Resources, Business Administration or Industrial Psychology preferred. Knowledge of and experience in health care/faith-based health care preferred.
Demonstrated experience as a business partner aligning Human Resource and business strategies with organizational capabilities.
Minimum of seven (7) or more years' managing and/or collaborating with various Human Resource functional areas or Centers of Expertise (COE).
Exceptional oral and written communication, persuasion and negotiation skills in order to effectively identify and present services, assess organizational development opportunities, facilitate improvements, and present advisory, persuasive and authoritative recommendations to all levels of management.
Exceptional interpersonal, consultative and relationship building skills in order to develop and utilize productive collaborative partnerships with leaders across the organization. Extremely high level of diplomacy and tact are required. Ability to read the subtle nuances of situation and react/plan accordingly.
Proven facilitation skills. Ability to embrace improved technological solutions and innovations. Ability to overcome resistance to change while preparing and supporting those affected by change. Demonstrated skill in collaborating and partnering in order to garner support and build trusting and permanent relationships, partnerships and alliances with various groups and interests.
Project management skills which include the ability to define scope, program, process or project objectives, identify business needs, stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and provide authoritative advice on coordinating and allocating human, technological and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
Ability to successfully influence and negotiate within all levels of the organization, and to successfully build relationships and teams to align strategies and achieve business results.
Strong understanding of organizational structure, business operations, financial impact/analysis - bottom line understanding. Ability to act quickly and responsively on new initiatives, anticipate opportunities and develop new and innovative ways to do business.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills to understand best practices, translate them into viable solutions, create value propositions, metrics and practices and to organize and prioritize multiple projects and requests
Extensive knowledge of organization development and process improvement techniques that promote team-based solutions, colleague development and empowerment. Experience operating as a change agent and empowering colleagues within and outside of functional business area. Experience developing action plans and initiatives focused on driving associate engagement to support departmental and organizational strategic objectives.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Ability to lead and influence others.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
