Our client, the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, headquartered in Medora, North Dakota has a career opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on leader as their CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER. This position is responsible for oversight and management of the accounting and financial functions of this exciting nonprofit organization.  Core functions include strategic financial planning, management of debt financing, oversight and administration of accounting processes and management of a team of accounting professionals.  The CFO role provides the opportunity to be part of a dynamic leadership team and create something special within an exciting new presidential museum.  The right person in this role can work remotely.

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Business with an emphasis on Finance, and CPA licensure.  A minimum of 7 years of experience as the CFO for a large nonprofit and an understanding of fundraising and grants is required.  The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to execute accounting and finance processes that ensure debt financing and fundraising efforts meet the needs of TRPL’s mission.   Strong management experience is needed to lead a team of accounting professionals.  We are looking for someone who is collaborative, optimistic and can see the big picture while keeping the reality of finances in mind.
