Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Major/Essential Functions
Perform computer systems analyst job duties in support of the HR information systems (HRIS) function in Lubbock, Texas.
Test, maintain, and monitor reporting and analytics applications and systems.
Consult with managers and internal clients regarding the reporting and analytics needs.
Define goals of the HRIS reporting function.
Analyze information processing needs and develop COGNOS models, edits, and reports for the HRIS function utilizing Banner and BrassRing data.
Utilize SQL to enhance Operational Data Store (ODS) views. Develop dashboards using analytics and reporting applications.
Assist with HRIS/Banner patch/upgrade testing and security maintenance.
Develop, document, and revise design, testing, and quality standards.
Part time remote work option in Lubbock, Texas.
Pay Statement

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer & Information Technology, or closely-related field; two (2) years of experience in an IS analyst position: working with reporting and analytics applications and systems and resource management software systems (ex. Brassring, PeopleSoft); and testing, maintaining, and monitoring institutional computer programs and systems; and a demonstrated knowledge of SQL Server.
