Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan items, process payments, and issue receipts
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with bagging groceries or packaging items as needed
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Upsell additional products or services to customers
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
Experience:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety regulations in the culinary or food industry is beneficial
- Experience in bussing or assisting in a restaurant setting is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient checkout process
- Strong sales skills to upsell products and increase revenue
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling various payment methods
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or ability to quickly learn new software
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and calculating change
