We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, hard-working RN to work in a busy private practice for gyn oncology. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
dosing, mixing, and hanging chemotherapy drugs, accessing ports, monitor patients during and after chemotherapy treatments for any adverse reactions or side effects, assess and document patient responses to chemotherapy treatments, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being, drawing blood, running labs, chemo counseling such as educating patients and their families about chemotherapy treatments, potential side effects, and self-care measures, provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the chemotherapy process, scheduling appointments for return visits/outside physicians etc, and general paperwork.
We offer a 4 day work week, Monday thru Friday ( day off will be discussed at time of hire), office hours begin at 8:30am and the work day is usually 9-10hours per day. We are closed on major holidays and weekends.
Candidate should be chemotherapy certified, but not necessary and be willing to work toward certification within first6 months of employment. Also must be very organized since the office does not using electronic medical records.
