SalarySummary:
Northeast Laboratories is seeking a Chemistry Supervisor to join our growing team. The Chemistry Supervisor will oversee and provide technical direction to lab staff in addition to maintaining daily lab functions.
The Chemistry Supervisor would be tasked with managing routine analyses, helping with development, optimization, and implementation of new methodologies, as well as keeping thorough documentation of work conducted and meeting all established quality standards.
A good candidate will have prior experience using analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, etc.) and have an understanding of laboratory workflow and regulatory compliance. A solid comprehension of the principles and theory behind analytical analysis is required. Prior experience with regulatory audits is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise a team of technicians to ensure that daily work is completed.
Train new staff on SOPs and techniques needed to succeed in the laboratory.
Provide daily guidance and mentorship to laboratory technicians.
Process Improvement:
Research and collaborate with the Laboratory Director on new methodologies and continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
Keep the team updated on industry best practices and how we can implement them into our processes.
Data Analysis:
Perform routine experiments and data analysis when required. Staying practiced and knowledgeable of testing procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry required, advanced degree (MS) preferred.
Proven track record in a laboratory setting with a minimum of 4 years prior experience.
Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation, industry standards and regulations.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
