JACOBS is seeking a Chemist I to support the Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) contract. The successful analytical chemist will be responsible for all of the duties associated with the operation of the CTD analytical laboratory. The analytical laboratory performs a critical function for the CTD, responsible for producing high quality analytical data related to test and evaluation projects performed at Dugway Proving Ground. To accomplish these tasks, the chemist will use analytical platforms platforms including but not limited to gas chromatography using flame ionization, flame photometric and mass spectroscopy, and liquid chromatography using triple quadrupole mass spectroscopy. The use of data analysis software platforms such as Agilent Chemstation and MASSHUNTER will be included in daily tasks. The chemist will also be involved in the production and validation the standard analytical reference material used for all of our testing that requires sample analysis. This process involves performing serial dilutions to produce calibration standards used to create calibration regression curves to act as a control group for quantitative analysis of samples. The chemist will also be responsible for the production of accurate and complete laboratory reports, and will at times be required to perform quality control data review and analysis.
