PLATING MANAGER
- Reports to: Director of Operations
- Summary:
The Plating Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining a fully operational electroplating and immersion plating processes. Plating Manager controls proper baths? chemistry, plating processes and quality requirements, directs housekeeping as well as preventative and restorative maintenance where needed. The Plating Manager is responsible for supervising the plating operators and ensuring safety and environmental protocols are followed.
- Responsibilities:
- Production manager electroplating shop
- Management and administration of electroplating shop and personnel
- Securing of performance-, schedule- and quality-related production
- Efficient production planning and control
- Installation of a new electroplating shop for noble metal plating including planning of related peripheral components
- Analysis of facility- and production-related questions
- Adjustment, control and maintenance of all production line components including control and documentation of all characteristic parameters
- Exhaust air and waste water treatment and disposal compliant with all legal regulations and requirements
- Execution of preventive maintenance and overhaul
- Quality control and development of all relevant plating processes based on existing process instructions
- Adherence / compliance to all work-related, quality and environmental regulations / requirements
- Working within a highly motivated international team
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Process Engineer / Technician / Chemist with a strong background of galvanic / electroplating processes
- Profound knowledge and experience in the field of electroplating
- Strong affinity and inquisitiveness towards solving technical-related questions
- Teamwork ability, openness to experience and flexibility
- Independent / precise / conscientious way of working
- Leadership qualities and Motivation ability
- Good communication skills
- Documentation skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge SAP
Expected Salary: $90,000-$110,000
