The Mixer I coordinates materials needed to prepare daily batch mixes. Completed mixes are stored in totes until packaging of the product is scheduled on the production line.
Essential Functions

- Ability to read and understand basic work order instructions and scheduling
- Understand steps required to complete work orders and label requirements
- Must be able to perform in process testing to ensure material conformance
- Perform visual inspection of all mixing equipment
- Responsible for cleaning work area (wash down machine, scrape down mixer lid, tidy work bench, discard trash)
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on mixing machinery
- Ability to read and understand work order and scheduling instructions
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous production
- Knowledgeable of basic formulations and able to mix independently
- Must adhere to all PPE requirements: safety glasses, respirators, work boots and any other PPE required
- All other duties assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles,and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times due to running of machines. Must adhere to all safety and PPE requirement

The employee is required to walk, sit, bend, and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. 2nd Shift and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m

Required Education and Experience
- The ability to read and write English (Required)
- High School diploma or GED (Required)
- Prior manufacturing experience (Required)
- Prior batch mixing experience 3-5 years (Required)
- Experience with PLC’s (Preferred)
