Oil and Gas Solutions LLC (OGS) has an opening for a Corrosion Engineer in Andrews, TX. The Corrosion Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site testing services and evaluations in accordance with the OGS Standard Service Package and Service Plan. The services will include field chemistry and monitoring tests, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical delivery, inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports.
Other Responsibilities include:
Maintain a relationship with key customer personnel and take full ownership for managing the goals of the engineering programs and service plans while maintaining positive customer relations and satisfaction.
Assist in managing customer accounts by providing excellent service and equipment and engineered solutions to our existing customer base. This requires creativity and ingenuity in devising solutions to customer problems.
Manage service contracts for new and existing customer accounts. This requires strong time management, technical report writing, and data management skills in addition to a disciplined work behavior.
Utilize other team members including Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to maintain superior customer satisfaction.
Assist with on-site customer training, utilizing OGS Technical Training materials at assigned accounts.
Complete required field documentation and reports (i.e. Standard Service Reports, Time Tracking, Service Schedules, Expense Report, etc.) in a timely fashion in accordance to the OGS policies.
Work with Manager and Technician team to manage and maintain inventory and delivery of chemical, installation and maintenance of equipment, and performance of the entire engineered solutions.
Responsible for all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of assigned company vehicle, in accordance and compliance with OGS Safety, HAZMAT & Product Stewardship policies.
Installation and maintenance of Automation Systems
Assist with design and evaluation of new technology to develop new OGS technologies.
Some travel as required.
Will spend 80% in the field and 20% in office setting.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Chemical or Corrosion Related Engineering degree
1-2 years corrosion or oilfield experience in Pipelines and Midstream
1 + years related Chemical / Corrosion experience and the ability to interact well with customers
Basic knowledge of mechanical and automation systems required to integrate OGS Solutions
Ability to lift and move heavy loads of 50 lbs
Advanced Computer Skills including MS Outlook, Word and Excel Graphing
Exceptional data management and technical report writing skills
Pro-active communication and social skills
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Commercial Drivers License or permit.
The ideal candidate will have NACE ( National Association of Corrosion Engineers) certifications, pipeline operator qualifications and a Commercial Drivers License, but these can be acquired during employment.
