Summary / Requirements
DPI is looking for a Chemical Compounder. DPI produces a variety of chemical products for a wide range of industries. DPI is a growing company and needing to expand our team.
The Chemical Compounder works closely with the Operations Manager to insure products are produced in a safe and timely manner, packaged accordingly and prepared for shipping. In addition to the Operations Manager, the Chemical Compounder will have some interaction with the Chemical Lab Technician and R & D Chemist for batch adjustments as well as providing samples from production that are ready for QC checks and final approval. The Chemical Compounder will also interact with truck drivers, service technicians, and maintenance specialist.
As an integral part of the DPI team, candidates applying for the Chemical Compounding position must have the following:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Energetic and Eager to learn
- Must be self motivated, task oriented with minimum supervision
- Must have some general computer skills for production batch data entry.
- Good math skills for calculating batch information against specified batch sizes
- Be able to lift 50 - 55 lb bag and maneuver drums
- Forklift Experience (Preferred)
- Safety Conscious.
- Must be able to follow instructions in accordance to product batch sheet.
- Must be reliable, hard-working, accountable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing
- Prepare mix tanks for use to produce products
- Prepare Packaging
- Mix products in designated tanks and vessels according to batch sheets
- Label Drums and Packages
- General Cleaning of Work Area and Equipment between batches
- Utilize the following equipment:
- Operate Forklift
- Operate Ribbon Blender for Dry Product Mixtures
- Operate High Shear Mixer for Producing Pigment dispersions
- Operate Cowles Blade and Paddle Blade mixers
- Operate Various types of pumps
- Truck and Tanker Loading/Unloading
- Receive/Ship materials according to BOL and/or Packing List
- Palletize drums/pails/cases for shipping
