Work with the latest technologies and techniques in the aviation industry to source materials, manage inventory, and coordinate logistics. You'll ensure we have what we need to service our customers.

As a Chem Lab Technician Associate, you'll provide technical support to chemical quality control, environmental monitoring, chemical engineering, and process development.

 

What you'll do:

  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus; prepares solutions, reagents and sample formulations.
  • Compiles, records and interprets experimental or analytical results.
  • Provides troubleshooting assistance on process malfunctions to process engineering.
  • Initiates and supports implementation of improvements in safety procedures, production processes and maintenance practices in conjunction with process engineering and management.
  • Provides chemical technical support for waste water treatment.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Maintains Pollution Control Equipment 
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge and use of laboratory equipment such as chemical balance scales, spectrophotometers and colorimeters.
  • Good organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes and instructions.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory software.
  • College diploma in chemistry, biology or applicable experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience in a chemical or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of RCRA and Hazwoper regulations

 

Preferred Characteristics:

  • The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school. 
  • The person requires an ability to understand, utilize and communicate specialized information in speech and written text. This specialized training is often formalized and recognized by a specific certificate, diploma or license.
  • Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is one to three years.
  • Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals.  The incumbent's education, training, and previous experience ensure work assignments are successfully carried out because he/she understands what is expected.
