Chef's Assistant

Vintage Vine 100 is seeking a full time Chef's Assistant to help prepare our small plates. We are a sophisticated wine bar that offers fine wine, craft beer, bourbon and tapas. We are located in McEwen Northside in the heart of Cool Springs. Our menu consists primarily of charcuterie boards, house made dips, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, skewers, dessert, etc.

Responsibilities Chef will Train You to Do

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping vegetables, cutting meats, cheeses, etc.)
• Cook food in various utensils or oven
• Make sure all food leaves kitchen at the appropriate temperature
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and kept at the appropriate temperature
• Check quality of ingredients prior to preparing food
• Monitor stock and write on board before any shortages occur
• Rinse dishes and wash in dishwasher as needed
• Take out kitchen trash at night

Requirements

• Ability to follow all CDC guidelines for sanitation
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Good physical condition
• Must speak English
• Must have transportation and Driver’s License
• Must be 18 or older

We are wine flight forward also offering wines by the glass and the bottle.

Vintage Vine 100 also offers high-end craft Beers, Superior Bourbon and some Specialty Cocktails for those seeking something different. In addition, we have small plates to enjoy in an inviting ambience that is modern but with an eclectic vintage vibe. Hip - but low key and comfortable.
