The Water’s Edge Restaurant has an exciting opportunity for the qualified individual seeking a Chef's position in with high quality standards!
The Chef will assist the Director of Culinary Services in_ all_ aspects of the kitchen operations (including food safety and sanitation practices, employee development and supervision, food quality and presentation, food inventories and ordering, and menu and recipe development with a strong focus on seasonal and sustainable products grown locally).
A degree from a culinary institute/college is highly preferred. Qualified candidates will have previous food service and supervisory experience, possess ServSafe certification or the equivalency, and be highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency. In addition, candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work with residents, guests, and staff with the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, tact, and graciousness. Candidates should also possess a fundamental understanding of hospitality and customer service through professional appearance, hygiene, and, most importantly, leadership by example!
