Position Overview: As a Chef assistant/Cook, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen's daily operations. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation, menu execution, and maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence. This position combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on cooking, making it an exciting opportunity for a skilled culinary professional.

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:
• Execute daily food preparation tasks in accordance with the menu and recipes.
• Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, and dishes meet quality standards.
• Cooking and Presentation:
• Lead the kitchen team in cooking and presenting dishes to perfection.
• Uphold the restaurant's commitment to delivering exceptional and authentic flavors.
• Menu Development:
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to contribute ideas for new menu items.
• Assist in creating innovative and appealing dishes to enhance the restaurant's offerings.
• Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure consistency.
• Conduct regular tastings and inspections to uphold culinary standards.
• Kitchen Management:
• Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
• Inventory Management:
• Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Notify management of any shortages or replenishment needs.
• Sanitation and Safety:
• Adhere to strict sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ensure that the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations.
• Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef assistant or Cook in a fast-casual or similar culinary setting.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Passion for creating and presenting high-quality dishes.
• Knowledge of diverse culinary techniques and cuisines.
