Qualifications:
- Experience in the designated sport
- Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- School van certification preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and instruct the LMS Cheer Squads(football & basketball) consisting of approximately 6-12 student-athletes per season.
- Conduct regular practices for the team.
- Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
- Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
- Responsible for distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment.
- Work with the MS Athletic Director and the Varsity Coach to order uniforms and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
- Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
- Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read
- Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
