Job Description
Title: Middle School Cheerleading Coach (Fall & Winter)
Position Type: Supplemental
Reports to: Athletic Director
Qualifications:

• Experience in the designated sport
• Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification
• Prior coaching experience preferred
• School van certification preferred

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise and instruct the LMS Cheer Squads(football & basketball) consisting of approximately 6-12 student-athletes per season.
• Conduct regular practices for the team.
• Coach student-athletes in a positive manner.
• Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
• Coaching will require six days per week including practices and contests. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach.
• Supervise and travel with the team to all contests.
• Responsible for distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment.
• Work with the MS Athletic Director and the Varsity Coach to order uniforms and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Working Conditions

• Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
• Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations
• Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
• Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read
• Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
