Andy’s Produce Market is seeking multiple Checking Clerks to join our dedicated team of friendly and dependable staff.

WORKING FOR ANDY’S PRODUCE MARKET
Our Checking Clerks are responsible for contributing to our customers' overall satisfaction by:

• Taking responsibility of all sales transactions by providing accurate pricing and money exchanges
• Providing exceptional customer service and client satisfaction by being knowledgeable about our products
• Accurately accounting for store inventory
• Maintaining the appearance of the store
• Shelving products from storage to the appropriate section of the store
• Assisting team members in other departments such as courtesy, grocery, or produce when necessary

WHAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
This job is right for you if you have:

• A strong work ethic and are dependable and trustworthy
• A professional demeanor and are self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers
• The flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
• The physical strength and endurance to perform work in a retail and grocery setting, including occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 60 pounds and working in cool temperatures between 45°-65°

The most qualified candidates will have previous experience in the grocery industry.

We are a family business located in Sebastopol with a rich history in the community. In addition to premium fruits and vegetables, we offer a selection of organically grown produce, a packaged bulk food and grocery section, and an all-natural health and beauty department. We are proud to feature local fine wines, select specialty foods, and an incredible selection of gourmet cheeses. In addition to providing these healthful options to our local communities, we also satisfy the needs of over 200 local restaurants with our wholesale division.
