In this entry level role, as our Charge Capture Specialist, you will work the life of a claim, from claims creation to initial submission to the insurance company. Every day you will work with providers, clinical staff, clinic leadership, and other professional revenue cycle caregivers, as well as consultants and leadership of the Professional Documentation and Claims Management department. To thrive in this role, you must enjoy working with data and have a healthcare background. Hours for this role are flexible after training.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages basic to intermediate claims.
+ Manually enters charges.
+ Validates charges as entered by clinician or automated process, which may include adding, removing, and/or changing CPT and ICD-10 codes.
+ Manages claims through Standing Orders and/or other Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Process Edits and claim edit resolution.
+ Works with coders, leads, supervisor, operations lead, managers, and others to ensure proper claims management.
+ Partners with clinics and clinicians to inform and improve charge entry and claims creation.
+ Process provider reviews and communication to update and work charge corrections, as needed.
+ Completes focused systemwide projects, as needed.
+ May include other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
+ 1+ year experience working in healthcare, experience in billing a plus
+ Excel experience
+ Interest in data and data entry
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.66 - $23.45 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
