- Coordinate with the Section Chief/ Medical Director and hospital staff to develop a comprehensive quality program, including FPPE, OPPE and quality metrics.
- Develop appropriate policy and procedures, rules and regulations consistent with and complaint with the regulatory bodies.
- Lead Anesthesia and Operating Room Committee Meeting
- Provide supervision and evaluations of Anesthesia Staff and Providers
- Establish appropriate meetings and reports
- Participate in Morbidity & Mortality meetings as required,
- Assist in evaluating and establishing new protocols and technologies for the DepartmentActively participates in: Problem identification and resolution, development of policies & procedures, quality improvement and staff development
- Effectively and timely communicate with staff and attending physicians
- Use his/her best efforts to ensure compliance with core measures and other regulatory requirements
- Participate in performance improvement activities
Candidates should have exceptional clinical, academic, and administrative skills.
Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree
Be board certified in Anesthesia by the time of hire
Must possess a valid NJ Medical License by the time of hire
Must be fellowship-trained in anesthesia or have equivalent advanced training and/or experience beyond that of anesthesia residency training
A respected clinical physician with outstanding professional credibility and personal integrity
Demonstrated exceptional leadership, administration, organization and program development of clinical services, research, and education in a complex academic environment
Demonstrated ability for teamwork and collaborative problem-solving using an analytical and systematic approach
Ability to provide leadership to physicians and other health care professionals
Excellent communication skills
