Description
The Certified or Registered Medical Assistant collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by physician in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records and scheduling appointments. Works under the guidance and supervision of a LPN, RN or Physician.
Requirements
Education: * High School Diploma or GED or transcript preferred
Experience: * One year of experience in a healthcare environment preferred * One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
Licenses/Certificates: * Current certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant verified thru an accredited program. * BLS/CPR certification renewed by the recommended renewal date. American Heart Association (AHA) or Amercan Red Cross .
