Summary:
Collaborates with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other professionals while overseeing the use of anesthesia in medical procedures. The CRNA coordinates and provides patient care from the point of taking vitals and charting information to providing anesthesia during surgery and other medical procedures and treats each patient carefully in administering the form of anesthesia most appropriate for their needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation.
- Ensures patient identification and obtains appropriate health history.
- Manage the patient's airway and respiratory status.
- Provides peri anesthetic invasive and non-invasive monitoring utilizing current standards and techniques.
- Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
- Perform regular patient visits and record findings in the patient records.
- Request and assess diagnostic tests.
- Remain up to date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques.
- Completes annual mandatory training by the due date as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Education & Experience:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Nursing with specific emphasis on anesthesia required.
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Active APRN-CRNA License in good standing.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider.
- At least three years of prior experience preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- General knowledge of medical terminology.
- Advanced understanding of anesthesia and other critical nursing skills.
- Demonstrated patient care skills.
Physical Demands:
- Required to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods.
- Must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodations – speak and hear.
- Able to use both hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to push up to 300lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour
