Dental practice seeking Nurse Anesthetist for one to two days a month to sedate anxious dental patients .
Responsibilities:
-Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with dental surgeons to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Assess patients' medical history and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and potential risks
Skills:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Acute care experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in pediatric anesthesia techniques
- Expertise in IV insertion and management
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Experience in ophthalmology anesthesia is a plus
- Ability to manage pain effectively during procedures
- Excellent assessment skills for monitoring patients' vital signs
