Certified Professional Coder

Fast paced medical billing company seeking full-time remote Certified Professional Coder! Experience in radiology and/or interventional radiology preferred. Seeking an individual that can: work independently; is a quick learner with critical thinking skills; is resourceful with the capability of making decisions; and, is a team player who has experience leading a team or supervising employees.

Acceptable certifications: CPC, RCC, CCS, CCS-P, COC.

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:

• Coding/auditing charges before and after they are submitted to insurance
• Abide strictly by HIPAA law by maintaining confidentiality and only accessing information as needed for job functions
• Resolve coding denials, analyze and identify any trends
• Communicating any errors/trends found and helping to develop a plan of action
• Resolve unreconciled visits by obtaining necessary information for coding
• Contribute actively to setting and achieving personal and department goals
• Understand insurance policies and procedures
• Meeting deadlines and helping with any projects or audits
• Working under the Director of coding to assist with the work flow of the department
• Executing excellent written and verbal communication with staff and others
• Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes
