** Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am5pm. No Weekends. No Nights.**
• Count pills according to the prescription
• Package and label prescriptions
• Take in electronic prescriptions and process the medication for PIC to verify
• Ensure that the security and proper storage of drugs is maintained
• Respond to simple patient queries and direct them to dispensing physician for clarification on issues concerning drug information and interaction
• Maintain drug inventory and place drug orders
• Label drugs, supplies, and chemicals properly
• Maintain patient profiles and records of all medications given
• Keep the work environment and equipment clean
• Process medical insurance claims and notify division of copayments
• Contacting referring physicians' offices with questions over prescription
• Preparing prescriptions for delivery via FedEx to physician office or patient's home
• Participation in the IOD Performance Improvement Program
• Awareness of IOD quality policy and procedures related to patient outcomes
• Performance evaluations and Competency evaluations done annually
• Continuing education maintained Annually
• Annual Satisfaction Survey for personnel
• Obtain Prior Authorizations if needed
• Obtain Patient Grants

Requirements
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program
Must be certified Pharmacy Technician
Must be New York state registered
Pioneer Rx and QS1 software experience is a plus
