The Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician works in a retail pharmacy setting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Performs the technical aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control.
In this role you will:
- Work in aretail pharmacy in a customer facing role.
- Assist Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.
- Fill Rx medications - retrieves, counts, and measures drugs
- Check all orders for accuracy and completeness of information.
- Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
- Access, input, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
- Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
- Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
- Hours: 8:30 - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Required Qualifications
- Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in Missouri and Kansas
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification - PTCB
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous Retail Pharmacy experience

Tuberculosis (TB) Screening
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
