- Position Summary:
The Surgical Tech utilizes Surgical Techniques, working as part of the healthcare team to assist with direct patient care activities during medical procedures. Ensures the environment is safe, equipment is functioning properly and procedures are conducted in a way to maximize patient safety. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery, by gathering and organizing clean and sterile supplies. Sets sterile instrument fields; maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. Assists with the orientation of new staff and participates on departmental committees.
Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited course in Surgical Technology
Two years of demonstrated Surgical Technologist experience in Labor & Delivery
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Certifications:
BLS
Scrub Technician Certification
RTO must be on the submittal, No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment **Please Note: Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it's to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract
