North Dakota State Hospital - Jamestown, ND - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will provide rehabilitation activities for clients of Residential Services at North Dakota State Hospital. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will help clients to develop, maintain and recover their ability to perform tasks in their occupations of life. Y ou will work closely with the Occupational Therapist, administering assessments and providing a written summary of the results. You will analyze data and recommend specific treatment goals and methods for your clients. Based on the goals, treatment plans are selected and modified as needed. Collaborations is important in this role as you will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary treatment team members to provide quality client care.
To be considered for this position you will need a High School diploma or GED and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by the ND Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
