Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Opportunity - Newport, NH

Soliant Health is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an immediate opening at a school district near Newport, NH. This position is available from ASAP until 06/15/2024, with the potential for extension. The selected candidate will work 35 hours per week, supporting students at the elementary level. While the exact caseload numbers are not available, it is described as manageable.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement effective therapy interventions.
• Provide direct Occupational Therapy Assistant services to elementary school students.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' fine and gross motor skill development needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific goals.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and functional success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and progress.

Qualifications:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) State Licensure.
• Availability from ASAP to 06/15/2024.
• Willingness to work 35 hours per week.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
