We are currently seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time contract position with competitive pay and guaranteed hours.

Job Description:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) , you will play a vital role in helping our elementary students achieve their full potential. Working closely with our occupational therapist and other school staff, you will assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans to address students' unique needs. Your role will focus on supporting students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills to enhance their overall educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the occupational therapist to assess students' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide therapeutic interventions.
• Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
• Monitor and document students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to provide updates on students' progress.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of therapy sessions and student outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• State licensure to practice as a COTA in Massachusetts (MA).
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
