Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications & Skills
- Associates degree or higher in Occupational TherapyAssistance
- New Mexico Certified Occupational Therapy (COTA) License
- Dependable, detail-oriented, team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate a team approach toward treatment
- Ability to effectively organize and communicate information to target audiences
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities & Duties
- Meet documentation requirements
- Evaluate the effects of the treatment plan and communicate the progress to the family
- Regularly consult and practice with the other professionals on the child’s team
- Work in a changing environment gathering relevant information to integrate, change or modify individualized treatment plan
- Use decision making skills that objectively and fairly evaluate situations
