WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Collaborate with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
- Train and educate patients and family members or others and document understanding of treatment plan and goals.
- Document and submit patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
- Exercise clinical judgment following an occupational therapy plan of care.
- Provide occupational therapy according to standards of care defined by the state practice act and other professional and governing agencies.
- Provide occupational therapy, including selection and use of adaptive equipment.
- Report patient progress and collaborate with evaluating therapist to implement the therapy plan of care.
- Supervise Rehab Techs.
Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree
- Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - .
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - .
- National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (COTA) - .
