Position:Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 5 months
Purpose of Position:
Under the direct guidance of licensed medical staff, the CNA will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assisting in clinical procedures, and supporting patients' well-being in our Skilled Nursing Facility.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
Assisting with Patient Care:
Providing physical care to designated patients, including changing simple dressings, taking vital signs, administering enemas, etc.
Recording and maintaining accurate documentation of personal care administered.
Patient Preparation and Examination:
Preparing patients for examinations by performing essential procedures like temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and measurements.
Assisting during examinations and recording findings in patient charts.
Observation and Reporting:
Observing patients' and families' conditions, mental states, and social behaviors.
Reporting observations to the relevant medical personnel.
Collaboration and Participation:
Participating in nursing and interdisciplinary health team conferences to assess patient and family needs and contribute to nursing care programs.
Supporting Recreational Activities:
Assisting in recreational, remotivational, and resocialization activities within nursing care programs.
Facility Maintenance:
Setting up and arranging examining rooms.
Assisting with admission procedures and regulating visitors.
Ensuring proper care of patients' clothing and belongings.
Changing linen, making beds, and maintaining the cleanliness of wards, utility, and treatment rooms.
Nutritional Support:
Preparing patients for meals and providing assistance with feeding when necessary.
Postmortem Care:
Providing postmortem care with sensitivity and respect.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Minimum of 1 year of Nursing Home experience.
