Certified Nurse Midwife

The Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife! The Certified Nurse Midwife provides inpatient and outpatient obstetric and women’s health patient care. Provides team support for Community Health Centers patients as part of a shared pool with family physicians who practice obstetrics. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A) Education & Experience:

 Degree from an accredited Nursing School and certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner

 clinical experience working in an ambulatory care setting and hospital preferred

B) Licensure, Certification or Other Requirements:

 Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Registered Nurse (RN)

 Board certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) or the ACNM Certification Council

 CPR certified

 DEA certified

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provides and manages care of women during labor and delivery
• Provides outpatient obstetric and women's health care.
• Works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants
• Participates in Ob On Call
• Refers patients to appropriate specialty care.
