Certified Montessori Infant/Toddler Guide

A well-established private Montessori school in the Salt Lake City area seeks highly motivated individuals to join our community. MACTE Infant/Toddler Teacher certificate or Internship required.

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Shifts vary between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Compensation: Varies depending on credentials, education, and experience.

Duties Include:

• Prepare and maintain safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons appropriate for the age range of students.
• Maintain all documentation as required by the school, observe, and evaluate each student’s performance and development in the school's record keeping system.
• Prepare progress reports and lead parent teacher conferences.
• Supervise recess or gym time.
• Drive school vehicles.

Montessori Community School of Salt Lake City is a private school, located near Foothill and 1700 South, that has been operating since 1985. The school enrolls a maximum of 220 students. The mission of the school is to provide a high fidelity Montessori experience that nurtures the natural unfolding of the whole individual, instills a love of learning, encourages acts of peace, and empowers all individuals. Requirements:

• Pass a background check with the Utah Department of Child Care Licensing.
• Motor Vehicle Report will be obtained and submission of a valid driver's license will be requested.
• Candidates will be asked to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and other occupational health hazard immunizations upon commencing employment (reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement, in accordance with applicable law).
• Must be able to lift a child of up to 55 pounds.
• Meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e. squatting, sitting, or kneeling on the floor when necessary for assisting students or maintaining the environment).

Education:

• Montessori teaching credential from a MACTE accredited teacher training program required
• B.A./B.S. from an accredited institution preferred
