We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented E& M (Evaluation and Management) Medical Coder to join our healthcare team.

SEEKING CERTIFIED MEDICAL CODERS ONLY
•The E& M Medical Coder will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant coding of medical services provided by healthcare providers, which is essential for proper billing, reimbursement, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
•The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulations, as well as exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
•Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services provided by our orthopedic clinic, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.
•Review patient medical records and physician documentation to abstract and validate essential information required for coding.
•Prepare and submit insurance claims with correctly coded data, following up on denied or rejected claims as necessary.
•Conduct regular coding audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of coded data, making corrections as needed.
•Stay up-to-date with the latest coding guidelines, regulations, and updates relevant to orthopedic coding, including musculoskeletal conditions and surgical procedures.
•Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to optimize the revenue cycle by minimizing coding-related errors and delays.
•Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant coding and billing standards.
•Provide training and guidance to clinical staff on proper documentation practices to support accurate coding.
•Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify and obtain additional information when necessary to ensure accurate coding.
Qualifications:
•Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent required.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Coding, with a focus on orthopedic coding preferred.
•In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
